+ Long Term Care experience (preferred)The Sanctuary of Holy Cross is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Staff Development - Infection Control Manager to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will enhance nursing practices and ensure the highest standards of infection prevention across our facilities, fostering a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.Director of Staff Development Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs tailored to regional staff needs.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and continuing education opportunities for nursing personnel.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess educational needs and improve clinical competencies.
  • Mentor and support nursing staff in clinical practice and professional development.
  • Stay current with healthcare trends and incorporate evidence-based practices into educational initiatives.Infection Control Manager Duties:
    • Develop and oversee infection prevention and control policies and procedures across the region.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with infection control standards.
    • Analyze infection data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff on infection control practices and protocols.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement strategies for infection prevention and management.Qualifications:
      • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license.
      • Minimum 3yrs of clinical experience, with a focus on infection control and education.
      • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred or willing to obtain.
      • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
