2025 1L Diversity & Inclusion Fellowship - General

history of being intentional and consistent in our efforts to
increase the diversity of our workforce and to advance the benefits
of diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. We are
proud to have supported law students through Diversity & Inclusion
Fellowship program initiatives for more than thirty years. Our
Business practice includes lawyers who specialize in a broad range
of corporate and technology-based transactions. Our Corporate group
provides advice and guidance to clients on matters including
mergers and acquisitions, venture-backed financings, equity and
debt raises, ongoing advice to directors and senior management
teams on matters related to corporate governance, regulatory advice
and structuring of board, executive, and equity compensation
packages. Our Technology group serves a broad range of clients in
the technology sector, from startups to multinational corporations,
in industries ranging from AI to Fintech, with intellectual
property and commercial transactions, as well as privacy counseling
and product innovation and go-to-market counseling. Candidates for
the 1L Diversity & Inclusion Fellowship - General
Corporate/Business must be committed to excellence, detail
oriented, and have a teamwork orientation and an execution mindset,
with an interest in corporate and technology transactions and
counseling, along with privacy laws and regulations. Candidates
should have a keen eye for detail and an interest in drafting and
reviewing contracts, advice and counsel on governance and other
corporate matters, as well as emerging technologies and related
privacy considerations. The subgroups included in the General
Corporate/Business Fellowship are: Corporate Governance, Capital
Markets, Financial Transactions, Investment Management, Mergers &
Acquisitions, Private Equity, Public Companies, and Technology
Transactions & Privacy. 1L Diversity & Inclusion Fellows are full
participants in our summer associate program and must spend the
first 10 weeks of their summer(s) with Perkins Coie. In addition to
receiving a summer associate salary, Fellows will also receive a
$15,000 stipend at the conclusion of their first-year summer.
Fellows who return as 2Ls will receive a $15,000 stipend at the
beginning of their second-year summer. The Fellows who accept an
offer to join Perkins Coie as an associate after graduation will
receive a $10,000 stipend in late May of their final year of law
school. All students who are in good standing in their first year
at an ABA-accredited law school are eligible to apply for the 1L
Diversity & Inclusion Fellowship Program. Perkins Coie is an Equal
